Like a riverbed now blooming with wildflowers, the Buckhorn has lived through profound changes — from an oil-exec stopover to a road-warrior motor lodge and to a refined, high desert escape.
In 2018, Jeff Vance and Ferial Sadeghian took ownership of the property and began reimagining the historic Buckhorn. In 2021, the former drive-up parking lot was transformed into a new central lawn, bocce ball court, communal gathering space, and pool deck complete with jacuzzi and sauna. Looking out at the heart of the property, the guest rooms were infused with the spirit of the American West and the Buckhorn’s mid-century roots. The result was a space that redefined its relationship with the high desert, prioritizing regeneration, sustainability, and locality.
